Renteria Or Beltre To Boston?

here are some other rumors i found:

 

-The hot rumor in Boston is that if the Red Sox don't re-sign tender-shouldered free- agent pitcher Pedro Martinez, they will pursue Twins free-agent starter Brad Radke and ex-Twins starter Eric Milton, a free agent with the Philadelphia Phillies

 

-carl pavanos #1 choice is the bosox

All 3 of those pitchers pale in comparison to Pedro. Beltre though, I wouldn't mind getting him.....

i don't know about you guys but imo pitching is more important than hitting to the sox.

 

we don't NEED beltre. did you guys not notice that our club scored more runs than anyone in the league? it would be nice to have beltre but i think he's going to drop off a bit.

 

like i said earlier, pitching is the most important thing. resign pedro, add pavano AND milton. pavano and milton will probably cost as much as beltre.

 

don't sign radke, he's been average at minny but at fenway he'll get slaughtered.

Beltre would be amazing in a Sox unifrom.

why? he's had one good year. i want to see him do that again before i commit 12+ mill into him.

 

plus we have a former batting champ that plays the hot corner decently well. we don't need another bat, we only scored more runs than anyone this season.

Since the Sox have Mueller signed through 2005, I seriously doubt they'll persue Beltre.

 

They probably won't sign Renteria. He'll cost MORE than Cabrera, and they're prepared to let him walk if he asks for 4 years.

 

I don't see either one happening.

I dont think Beltre is a one year wonder. Hard to have that great a season and just die off. MVP caliber doesn't just stink the next season.

i know he was hurt, but the games he pitched he wasnt all that good you know.

He didn't totally die off though. Even if Beltre did what Halladay did, he would still be better than Mueller.

so being injured virtually the whole year, and getting creamed in his first few starts and not having a great year reflects your opinions on beltre over mueller?
