From Bostondirtdogs.com:

"We wouldn't have won the game if they didn't get those calls right, especially the play by that punk-ass A-Rod. What he did was extremely unprofessional... no class move. It was the most unprofessional thing I've ever seen done on a baseball field... Derek Jeter would have never done that, he's too much of a professional. Jeter, Posada, Bernie Williams, Matsui, those are the real Yankees. A-Rod's not a real Yankee anyway, he's an idiot like Barry Bonds. Hall of Fame numbers, but that's about it."

I like that he's honest...but dear god. I agree with everything he said here, but calling A-Rod and Bonds idiots...publicly. Sure, they deserve it, I just hope nothing bad comes from this. Like Bonds calling Schilling racist or something.

He is so right that it is wrong......Bonds is a steroid freak...ARod is a Bush league bitch....and there should never again be a god damned Jeffrey Mayer like fan interference call to EVER interfere with a good team ever again.....

Wow. I wouldn't have expected such harsh words from anyone in a public interview like that, but good for schill speaking his mind. It's the truth too.

And welcome to the site DoubleDave!

I would like to see that actual link/video that has Schilling using the phrase "punk-ass." Until I do, I have serious doubts that this is not an embellishment of what he said

I have to disagree Schill is a bonehead. he's a hell of a good pitcher, but he's a bone head. It wasn't Bush League. All A-rod was trying to do was to try to win the game. i don't think he was wrong. he was wrong for protesting it because I knowe he knew he was wrong, but its the same as trying to knock over a catcher at home plate. Schilling is a idiot. He should have kept his mouth shut.

I disagree. It's a similar THEORY to bowling over the catcher except for one thing:

What A-Rod did was against the rules. He broke the rules then he got pissed off when he got caught.

It was on Dan Patrick's Radio Show on ESPN.

Here is what Schilling actually said:

"A-Rod is a Hall of Fame player. He could be the greatest player that ever played when he is done, but I don't associate [class] with him, not at all"

Concerning slapping Arroyo:

"That was freakin' junior high baseball at it's best. First of all, Bronson wasn't in the baseline to begin with. He could have easily broken his arm. C'mon, that was tired."

FWIW, about 4 or 5 weeks ago, when they were talking about "friction" between him and Pedro on one of the local sports talk radio shows, Curt called the on-air listener line and he told them that they don't know what the hell they are talking about, and that they should stop making s*** up.

He didn't mince his words or try to play around with being nicey-wicey or politically correct. He just shot straight from the hip and shut them down on their own live radio show. 10 points Curt Schilling.
