1.) tek- great leader!

2.) petey...so he doesnt go to stanks and is a vital part of the staff

3.) lowe- if he pitches good in game 5

these are just a couple list some more!

what free agents will theo work his magic on?!?!! i dont know many so give me some ideas!

let lowe go unless he pithces a 1 or 2 hitter in game 5

Go for rentiria or beltre and move muellere to second and if tek wants more than go for mike matheny

One game will not determine a contract. With Scott Boras as his agent, as well as Tek's, neither will be easy to resign. Necessary order:

1) PEDRO

2) McCarty - no more hitting for this fella...he'll be clutch in the bullpen if that's what he works at this offseason. He showed some serious potential.

3) Varitek...if he's cheap enough. Just for a couple years (2-3).

4) Cabrera - f*** yeah.

5) Bellhorn...get the infield solid for the coming year.

6) Mientkiewicz (do we have him)/Mueller ...either or. If youk is ready for a full year in the bigs....bye bye Mueller. I love the guy, but him and his contract are definitely not worth it.

7) Mendoza...if he's cheap. Possibly ahead of Mueller

8) Lowe - Might as well throw him on the list...if he gets some common sense and signs 4 years...btwn 16-20 million.

I dunno. I love McCarty, sorry I just do. I believe Timlin and Embree are still on for next year (options kicked in).

Am I forgetting anyone crucial? BTW...bye bye Pokey. He's a fan favorite, but utterly useless if he doesn't play...and he won't.

where would reneteria play if we resign cabrera?

renteria- 2nd

cabrera- SS

mueller-3b

millar/mientkiewicz- 1b

good infield

do u really think we have a shot at getting beltre?

lots of decisions to make!

We don't need Beltre and I don't expect us to get Beltre. Dodgers are planning to try their best to re-sign him and we should focus on some of our more important needs such as starting pitching and getting a shortstop if we lose Cabrera.

i refuse to talk about the offseason contract wise until we are either world champions, al champs or knocked out of the playoffs.

Ok everyone....think bigger than the free agents this season...

Let Beltran go for big money to the Yankees. The best way to beat them is the same way we did this year. Pitching!

Re-signing the skill position players is vital. Varitek is the most important player to sign. You cannot replace him at this point. Mueller needs to stay with the team as does Cabrera unless you replace him with Renteria but that will be expensive. Forget about Adrian Beltre; Boras will demand too much money for him.

Here it is.....Johan Santana

The Twins did not sign him to a long term contract and they certainly will not be able to afford him now. This is the last year of his contract. I guarantee Theo will explore this possibility. Let Pedro and D-Lowe go. The Yanks can pay too much for Beltran and Pedro is they want. The best way to go about this is sign/trade for better players. Pavano has also made it clear he does not like NY and wouldn't mind going back to where his career started.

Keep the chemistry with the bats.

Get better pitching AGAIN.....Schilling, Santana, Pavano, Arroyo, Wakefield

.....thats lights out

yes it is lights out...but really... how realistic is that? wake up and smell the coffee i highly doubt they will even let santana talk to anybody!

and LET beltre go to the yanks...I THINK NOT!

Well you know the Yanks are getting some of the big name players. There is nothing you can do to stop it. Beltre is not worth the money he is going to want. Thats all I'm saying. The Yanks probably wont get him cause he is most likely to stay in LA. Even if they were to get either Beltran or Beltre....that doesn't fix their problems. I would rather they blow their money on players that are not pitchers.

If not Santana you can guarantee Epstein will find someone. Its what he does. If I told you last October we are going to get Schilling and Foulke, most people would have thought thats crap. Pavano is more realistic to go to Boston and replace Lowe in the rotation but Epstein wants a strike out pitcher in the mold of a young Pedro. Santana is certainly not untouchable because of the team he is on. The Twins always lose players. Another team is Oakland. Don't be suprised if there are rumors flying around about Zito.

I'm not sold Beltre would hit 48 HR next year.
