The Yankees pitched poorly last night (Mussina did give them a great start, but IMO anything above 4-5 runs is a bad team pitching performance), the Yankees played sloppy defense last night, and they still won, outslugging their opponents. They've done this all year long, and it really doesn't look like it's going to stop :(. Who's going to quiet the Yankee Bats? Pedro? He said it best himself, 'The Yankees are my daddy'. Arroyo? Wakefield? Lowe? The way I see it, the Red Sox have to get on the board early and often, and keep the crowd out of the game. Once the Yankees get rolling, they don't stop.

Well, if the sox continue to throw one-legged pitchers out there, then yeah, they'll get lit up. Take away just the 3rd inning collapse by schill and it would have been a totally different outcome. Actually, say Schill pitched 6 innings and gave up 4 runs total. Would Wake have been in there? No.

The Red Sox starting pitching (barring injuries) is better than NYs. I hardly think 1 game proves otherwise.
