Here's what I would do:

Game 1) Wakefield. If he has his stuff it could be a win, if not, well it's only game one.

Game 2) Martinez. If he pitches like he did in Anaheim (or like he did last year against the Yanks) this is almost a win. Also sets him up for game six if needed.

Game 3) Schilling. He's good enough, but at home in the playoffs? This is as close to a lock as you can get. Also sets him up for game 7 in the Bronx, and that's as secure as you can feel in that situation.

Game 4) Arroyo/Lowe/Wakefield. If the Sox are up in the series it should be Lowe or if you would rather, Wake. This way you get a pitcher who could go either way, but at least if they lose we still have game five at home to retake the lead. If the Sox are down it's a toss-up. I'd personally still go with Lowe or Wake, but if you feel better with Arroyo you could do that too.

Game 5) Arroyo/Lowe/Wake. If you went with Lowe or Wake in game four, then it's obviously Arroyo. Otherwise it would be Lowe or Wake. I feel secure either way when the game is at Fenway.

Game 6) Pedro. Hopefully Francona didn't kill him in game one and he should be good enough for the Sox to win it.

Game 7) Schilling. I'll take him in game seven against anyone on the Yanks. Enough said.

Schilling is obviously game 1

Arroyo game 2

Pedro game 3

Wakefield game 4

Schilling game 5

Arroyo game 6

Pedro game 7

Schilling's gotta start game 1 so he can't pitch game 7 if we have it... But who cares we have Pedro

You have to start your 2 best guys in games 1 and 2. It is so critical to win those games to get off to a good start, especially if you're on the road. You can't wait to pitch Schilling in game 3, even if he is on track to pitch game 7 because there's no sure chance there will be a game 7.

You can't screw it up that bad. Anyway, look at the yankees rotation. They have no idea whats going on. We can just move it around a little switch Arroyo with Pedro. Then we got him up there.

Alright, this is what i would do...

Game 1 - Curt

Game 2 - Pedro

Game 3 - Bronson

Game 4 - Wake

Game 5 - Shilling

Game 6 - Pedro

Now in game 7, i start Wakefield to throw off the MFY bats for the first couple of innings after facing Curt and Pedro in consecutive games. At the first sign of danger or after the third or fourth inning i bring in Bronson for two or three innings then give it over to Timlin, Foulke, Lowe for the last couple of innings. I think having Wake start would be a great way to slow them down in the early innings and get them used to his "slowness" and then bring in the heaters.

i have more confidence in wakefield in the post-season, in the cold weather, in yankee stadium, against teh yankees, then i do pedro. pedros a great pitcher, and i understand y they would have him game 2, but wake is KNOWN for pitching well against the yankees. they fear him, and know its a battle everytime they go out against him. against pedro, they know they can manhandle him if its the right night, and they WANT to.

I guess I like that. It's the best we're gonna get with our staff. Wake is a good idea after those 2. But, I think that pitching him for 4 innings is a bad idea. I think he can last longer. If he lets up 4 runs though I think thats it. Then its time for Mendoza or Arroyo. About that, I think Mendoza would be a better choice than Arroyo after Wake.

I agree on that. But it depends on how long Wake goes for. Because at the FIRST sign of trouble i would take him out. If he can go 6 innings that would be great. I would then give the ball to Mendoza and then Foulke. But if he only goes 3 or 4 i gotta put Bronson in (he should be ready for this...it is HIS turn in the rotation).

Yeah, but then would Arroyo pitch adn then give it to Mendoza and then to Foulke. Or Arroyo all the way to Foulke.

This being if he is pitching good most of the time(1 or 2 ERs)

If he's pitching well i say give to Mendoza to finish it off. Then if he runs into trouble (or tie game situation, extra-innings etc.) give the ball to Foulke. Then you still have Timlin, Meyers, Lowe and Embry in the pen. It looks good. It also depends on how much they pitch in the previous games.
