And they never get out of the first round, but i would choose Texas also, they have no starting pitching and also don't make it out of the first round very often.

Don't you think those things are a little irrelevant? I mean, we have absolutely owned the A's at every turn. Whether it be at Fenway or at Network Associates, we play .900 ball against the A's. Based upon this season (and a little of last) that is the team I want to face in the ALDS. Texas would be nice too (mostly because their rotation is pathetic), but I'd much rather go with the team the Sox have had proven and well documented success.
