Trot Nixon should be #1. It seems like he hit a homerun of Roger Clemens every game he faced him. Yes, I know Rocket's not a Yankee, but he once was.

Yea, Trot Nixon is the ultimate yankee killer times 15 billion.

all time, yes, this year no.

Duh! Playing in 30 games might have something to do with that. Is he suddenly going to lose his ability because he hasn't faced the Yankees much this year? Nope.

El ace 8-0. He should get some cy young consideration.

Yeah, because those less than 15 starts really should get him consideration over guys who have been better in 20 more starts. Please, that's just disgusting.

If you had someone 8-0 everybody would be saying cy young. I'm not saying he should win it, just get some consideration. Johan should win it.

Umm... I don't think anyone would be saying it. I know for damn well sure I wouldn't be; it's just retarded to do so. At least we do agree that Johan is the best pitcher in the American League.

Yeah... My Cy Youg List...

1. Santana- No doubt about it, unless he has bad starts in his last few, it will be close.

2. Schilling- Schilling has been great all season, he was better than we thought he would be

3. Petey- On fire lately, beating everyone in his path.

4. Hudson- Hes put up some good numbers this season.

5. Mulder- Awesome start, now is fading

6. Jake Westbrook- Having a great season while on the run-scoring challenged Guardians (yes, its true). 12-7 with a 3.37 ERA is pretty damn good

The, and only then, would i even consider putting El Duque

I agree that Westbrook is having a fantastic season and should get some Cy Young consideration, but that Guardians are the furthest thing from run-scoring challenged. They have one of the Top 5 offenses in the American League, no way are they offensively inept.

They have Travis Hafner, thats it. Dont try to ******** Vizquel and Gerut, theyre not good hitters. Lawton has cooled off after a good start. THeyre not top 5 offense, maybe top 15, not top 5. Red Sox, Yankees, Orioles, Rangers, Anaheim, umm.... the Twins have a pretty damn good offense too, and when healthy the White Sox are up there.

What about Victor Martinez and Matt Lawton. Vizquel is also batting above 300 and is having a very good season. They have the 3rd most runs scored in the major leagues even more than the Cardinals. So I think Westbrook does get plenty of run support.

devildots51101: 3rd most runs in majors

YanksHater213: really?

devildots51101: ya

YanksHater213: thats cuz they dropped 22 on the yankees

devildots51101: they would have dropped down to 7th if they had got shutout that game

if they didnt score 22, just like you said, they wouldnt be third, it was agaisnt the yankees amazing pitching staff of Vazquez, Loaiza etc, so it isnt that hard

Posted
Its still top 5 in the AL in hitting. Plus Vazquez and Loaiza don't give up 22 runs every time they go out. You know sometimes they have off days and only give up 13.

Travis Hafner, Victor Martinez, Casey Blake and Matt Lawton all have or are on pace for 25 homeruns. I would take their offense over the highly overrated, no walks Angels offense.
