September 6th @ Oakland

Watching Kotsay blow a gasket was fun. Somehow we always seem to get into the A's heads. Two infield hits on pure speed in 9th helped blow the game wide open. I can't remember the last time I saw a Red Sox team start an inning that way. Watching Ortiz sit on an 2-0 fastball with the bases loaded was sheer joy. Mondoza looked solid in the 9th.

shouldnt we be keeping these in the individual game discussion forums? o well whatever, kotsay just wanted to show the umps what manny did, and i dont blame him. but the fans were WAY out of line to make the park a dump like they did. look, i get pissed with calls too, but i dont f***in make fenway a dump. anyway, its not like that out woulda saved them from a loss..face it, we are a better team.

I hate late games.....I caught the first 4 innings, Kotsay's 2 homers, Manny and Damon goin back to back to tie it....fell asleep, woke up when it was 4-2, then had to turn the radio off.

 

Anyway, great to see the Sox getting a win against a contender (Oakland), a good lefty pitcher (Zito), especially when Arroyo didn't have his best stuff.

 

So far, we're 6-1 on our most important 9 game stint of the season.

 

We've got to keep the pace! Go Sox!

mendoza is turning it around like the yankee talent he was!!!! i didnt stay up either, but on highlights that catch by kapler was NUTS!!!! at least roberts didnt get a concussion...as we are in OAKLAND, if it was johnny he may have gotten another one...grr oakland is bad luck for us even if we win.

 

but bronson settled down and gave a quality start, with our offense, ill take a pitcher that will give up only 3 runs any day. once again our offense explodes, and we win. go sox!!!

I lasted 7 innings lol. At least we beat the A's worse than the yankees beat tampa, right? Proof that we're better!
