No. No replay. I don't consider myself a baseball purist, but I'm against replay. The damn umps should be able to make calls like the Roberts Tag B.S. on their own. If you want to give a team one replay challenge per season -- go ahead. That'd make it pretty tough to decide when to use it. Other than that, I don't want a replay challenge every few games.

I don't think we should have instant replay, even though we got screwed today. IT would be pointless on game ending decisions because you hardly ever see a game end on a controversial decision. Today was one of those rare events. People would then say only in the 7th inning on. Eventually it will be in for the entire game and we'll end up having 10 hour games.

instead of instant replay, why dont the umps wear ear pieces connected to people who are watching instant replays in an office. if the play is controversial like today in a crucial situation, they can be corrected. that way the game still flows and a decision can be made before the next batter comes to the plate.

Keep the game the way it is we all know if they have earpieces someone will question balls and strikes and there would be a huge controversy.

balls and strikes are sole umpire decisions. i said in a big crucial situation too. balls and strikes usually arent questionable, but balls and strikes wouldnt be in the "controversy" topic.

 

hell, earpieces are better than the umpire walking over to a camera and watching the play over and over with stopped playing time. have someone do that from above while the play is flowing.
