actually, the yanks lost by 22, and were shutout. the tigers lost by 21, and managed to score some runs.

the other team scored 26 runs. That makes it infinitly worse.

when the score is that high, it doesn't really matter how much the other team scores. 26 is 4 runs worse than 22 so that makes it worse for the tigers than it does the yankees.

No, at least the tigers scored runs. The yankees were SHUT OUT. By the Guardians. The definition of a shut out is not scoring any runs. The yankees did not score any runs. You can't even figure out how much worse they played than a team that scores 1 run, let alone 4, because it's impossible to divide by zero.
