I was reading the forums at some of the Yankee boards, and all of them are crying to the bambino to stop a Red Sox charge. Curse? What curse? With a top 5 defense, good pitching, and a phenomal defense, I expect this team to keep it up. During the .500 ball days, the Sox had the best offense and top pitching, now that the team has settled in to their groove, we should keep this up.

Calling upon the curse to stop the Red Sox? Why don't they call upon their team to stop playing so crappily? Is it beyond some yankee fans to think logically, lol.

nothing would be better than overtaking the yankees except for possibly george stienbrenner having a massive stroke while in bed with joe pepitone's son.

I think we can do it, their pitching is wilting, their bats are anemic, their fans are retards and we are hot as can be.

I dont dont about any curse, I have some curses for them however--f*** you. That's one.

PS: There must be some other forums for riff-raff, why come here and soil up a red sox room.

you re not even giving me a chance man, if i came out here and starter just going crazy on you then I could see where you coming from. Just because I'm a yankee fan, not good enough reason in my opinion.

you don't see many knowledgeable yankee fans huh...? please! show me a sox fan with an ounce of baseball knowledge and i'll show you a yankees fan

Sheff,

I know a TON of Red Sox fans with a lot of baseball knowledge just on this site. I include myself of course, but Zenny, Yeszir, Yankshater are all knowledgable....

What have you posted with any substance on this site?

i haven't seen much of anything with substance on here so far, to be honest.... but when i hear sox fans make claims (like jeter sucks) without anything to back it up, i can only draw one conclusion... in fact, i even saw one sox fan write that in 86, buckner should have been taken out for a defensive replacement... how stupid is that?

Sheff,

You just made a pretty bold statement yourself. Why don't you PROVE that Buckner SHOULDN'T have been taken out with FACTS...instead of just calling whoever said that "stupid?"

Also, I don't believe you've posted any facts on this board yourself.

if I remeber correctly buckner played with those awful ankles all year...

Hindsight being 20-20, he shouldnt have been in, but they played him all year in spite of it all.

That play was a horrible painful fluke, and christopher reeves could have made that play ...from the chair, but bill didnt. But he played 1st all year and McNamara didint take him most of the year why would he then.

Ill take that cookie, as well. No feeding the animals didint you see the sign.

Oh my God, sheff, you are a f***ing retard. I'm guessing you weren't even alive in 1986. Bill Buckner had awful knees. They were worn down and just plain s*****. He had an impossibly difficult time. Johnny Mac left him in the game because he was a big part of the team and he wanted his core guys on the field when they won it all. So, arthritic knees and all, Buckner was in the game, he got a tough play that he bad knees did not allow him to properly make and the ball got through his legs. I'm also guessing that you had no idea that it was Game 6 in which that happened and the game was already tied anyway.

You are a stupid f*** and I honestly cannot see you lasting more than 5 more minutes here with your blatant ignorance. Go f*** off now.

Sarasox, I just read you post. I'm damn near positive it was his knees and not his ankles. Either way, the arthritis did not help.

was his knees. your right. i remember him trying to bend down and his knees just didnt do anything. when it comes to having a world series win or risking a loss because u want a core part of your team in, which is what happened, is an easy pick. buckner is still part of the team no matter what happened, whether they won it all or not. the management f***ed up BAD that night. pitching coulda used some help too. i was ready to see what no one had saw in 68 f***in years...and what happens? they choke.

I will never, ever forget the look on Bob Stanley's face and I still hold a grudge against the Rockies' Preston Wilson for being goddamn Mookie Wilson's spawn.
