Yes, we kill Contreras all the time.

Contreras definately has a bad history against us, but how will he fair with much LESS pressure on him in Chicago?

 

Seems like Contreras does really well against the bad teams, but struggles against decent lineups. We are definately a decent hitting team, so we SHOULD score some runs.

 

Wake is coming off a record setting outing (giving up 6 homers) but Wake was never one to have his confidence shaken by one bad outing. He'll keep floating up the knuckler today, and let's hope he dominates!

 

The defense looks like its really starting to improve, which should help all pitchers down the stretch. The offense is really clicking right now. This series is big, as Chicago's 5 games behind Minnesota, and 5.5 games behind us. They NEED to pick up a series win in this one to stay afloat. The Red Sox need the series win to establish themselves against a contending team.

sure, hes not affected by bad outings that much, and even if he doesnt...CONTRERAS is on the mound...i mean CONTRERAS. he has like a 16.43 ERA against us this year...im not worried about how wake does.

I think the Red Sox should keep Youkillis in, after Reese gets back. Caberra, and Miencawitz can compensate for Mueller.

Both pitchers have looked pretty good so far, hopefully that wont last on the Chicago end.

Would anyone of thought that Cleveland would win the AL Central at the beginning of this year? Hey, does anyone know anything about Mueller contract? He's looking extremly good, might be hard to let him go. We could go with Youkillis at 3rd at Mueller at 2nd next year.
