That was the craziest thing I've ever seen. It didn't look like the ball came out, just that the arm of Harvey hit Grimesley's face and the ball fell. Anyhow, that was crazy.

I think pinch-hitting Ortiz for Kapler is what turned the tide here. Let McCarty (somewhat hot lately) stay in RF, Ortiz at 1B.

You can't pinch-hit for Crespo because putting in Bellhorn defeats the idea of giving him a day off, and I don't think Ortiz playing middle infield is something that children should be allowed to watch.

It is quite frightening.

I think it's worth noting that Damon is hitting better than he was at the same time last year. Not as much of a slow starter this time around, it would seem. Just going on memory, maybe I should actually look up the stats to be sure.

No, he's traditionally been a slow starter, you're right on that. Hopefully he'll get even hotter after the ASB. Good win for the sox, especially sine the yankees won too.

nice win and great posting on the board today. i think we set a record number of posts for a weekend game.

todays game was great. LOWE WON, WAY TO GO, but he still sucks, he has to win out the season for me to be confident in him.

crespo played well today. that was a great surprise

damon crushed the ball today, lets hope he can get hot and carry us until nomah and trot get back

its great to win when half of your regular starters are on the bench to begin the game.

Lowe needs to work his problems out in the rotation. He'll be fine, eventually. No need to stick him in the pen. See today's game for confirmation... Lowe could have gone 6 and gotten a "quality start" but Frank pulled him. He didn't quite suck as bad as you suggest.

One of the runs against Lowe was unearned, according to the ESPN.com boxscore. I also saw the same thing on MLB.com during the game. The amusing part is that the error was ON LOWE.
