Damn, and I had him on my bench on my fantasy team.

 

He was the first to get 18 since RJ got 20 in 2001. He also set the team record for K's, and the last time someone struck out 18 Braves was in 1990. That someone was our very own Pedro Martinez.

He had the nastiest curveball I've seen in a while the other day. It was flat out filthy. It went from like 12 to -6 it dropped so much.

, hate to see people eclipsing Pedro. Glad to see it wasn't a yankee though.

 

As far as strikeout performances go, anything over 13 (striking out more than half of the outs in the game) is really really impressive. Any pitcher that can do that commands my respect.
