The sox lead by one run in the top of the 1st on may 1st at Texas. I'm pretty sure that was our last lead. That's pretty pathetic if you ask me.

agree

Who cares what the newspaper says? It's long been one of Boston sports' downsides. Anything and everything gets negative coverage, and thats the main reason some players hate playing here.

Whoa, Dauber just narrowly avoided that pitch,

Anyway, I dont care what Shaughnessy says in the paper tomorrow. I care what I think, and I think that this team blows right now. I'm pissed at them, I dont need to see a writer get pissed to know what I feel.

NO! Don't give up on them so soon! If you can't watch this you arent true Red Sox fans! How did you ever live through game 7 last year?

Plus, all is not bad. Lowe just struck out the first batter of the second inning.

not giving up, yahoo gamecast, its only about a batter slow, i usually use it for yankee games while watching the sox but the yanks dont play till 10. i want to get my moneys worth out of my cable

Even if Derek Lowe pitches perfect the rest of the way, can the sox pull out two runs to tie, and then a third to win?

It seems like two runs is asking for too much lately.

maybe ortizzle and mueller were 1 year wonders???

Mueller I can see as being a one year wonder, but I know he isnt. Ortiz isn't dooing poorly at all this year either. He's battin .284 with 5 homeruns. In fact, he leads the team. He got the team's only RBI last night. Ortiz is one player I'm not worried about. You know he'll snap out of it in a big way.

last year tell me how many homerund did ortiz have before the all-star break...10....oh yea

But the concern is that he was supposed to have fixed the kink in his batting approach that led to 10 homeruns in the first half. After he fixed that thanks to Papa Jack, he went on a tear. It's curious that this didn't carry over to this year.

It looks like Lowe has settled down a little bit now.

OMG A RUN!!!!! THIS IS WHAT WE NEED!

It's pathetic though that we got the run on a double play. Its kind of representative of the entire sox offense this year. The only way we can score a run is by hitting into a double play. Wow.
