Hang’em Chaim is going hard after a left handed reliever on the offseason. Verdugo is the perfect trading chip for one.
-
It means a replacement for Paxton on a 1 year deal. Plus Hang’em Chaim will stash a couple AAAA pitchers in Worcester for when sale breaks down. Bello Sale Tbd - fa Crawford Houck
-
I think Cora has had enough of verdugo. I am going with Duran - abreau - Rafeala and Refsynder for the 2024 outfield.
-
Didn’t the Red Sox brass highlight the need to improve the pitching for 2024?
-
I think the marlins would do anything to get cassas
-
I like everything about Anthony’s swing and contact ability. Relatively short and to the ball! I think he gets out whack when he opens his swing up trying to go for long balls too much! I think he hit the rookie wall last month! This promotion is a great thing for him. He is the real deal! I have not seen teel yet, so I have no thoughts on him
-
Winkleman and Montero have really impressive stuff! The rest of our pitchers…. well not so much
-
In 2023, we graduated, bello, Winkowski, cassas Crawford, youshida and wong? That is not a bad group of rookies. In 2024, we got abreau and Rafeala and Murphy and Walter??? And maybe Drohan and lui as relievers?? In 2025 Mayer, Anthony, Jordan, dobbins, bonaci and gambrell plus others I think Hang’em Chaim is starting to crack up the farm system.
-
Wow! High praise for Rafeala!
-
Rafeala to the rescue!!!!!!’ Is Rafeala a Skinny version of Sandoval or a watered down version of Betts
-
Maybe he becomes the one prospect Hang’em Chaim trades away???? Ha ha
-
The more I see A Castro swing the bat, the more I think he has a future in Boston.
-
This year’s Red Sox team is easier to watch and more palatable than that disaster of a team from last year.

The team showed a lot of heart by taking the last two games of this series. I am very impressed with them. -
Pretty amazing considering our rotation was devastated
-
Refsynder, Duran, Rafeala, and abreau a relatively young and inexperienced outfield. But defensively light years ahead of what got now
-
Could abreu and Rafeala be in the Boston outfield next year?
-
It is amazing we are even this close to the playoffs after everything our starting pitching staff has been through this year!
-
So it is ok to trade alleged surplus if it is in the lower minors?
-
Portland won 2 to 1. Jordan with a tater and yorke with 3 hits. Rosier stole his 43rd base. Gambrel threw an amazing 6 innings.
-
I agree 100 percent. Plus Winkowski
-
And if we had bogey and the 3 wins that come with him, would we be in the wild card contention now?
-
We went through about 8 of them this year in Boston. Seems like we need to keep them on hand Hang’em Chaim does not resign bogey and all hell breaks lose with our middle infield
-
Could we have gotten a quality prospect for Martin at the trade deadline? I think so
-
I think letting Ben go was a huge mistake! Hang’em Chaim will get more time to prove himself than Ben got and Ben won a World Series
