  1. https://www.masslive.com/redsox/2023/02/why-is-ryan-brasier-still-on-red-sox-roster-chaim-bloom-explains.html Bloom explains why he kept Brasier
  2. The original deal was a 3 team deal with dodgers and twins, dodgers get Betts, Price and money, Redsox get Verdugo and Brusdar Graterol from twins and twins get Kenta Maeda,
  3. I agree money is his thing and I understand what he’s trying to do, he just has the wrong guy doing it
  4. This article might answer your question https://www.overthemonster.com/2022/12/19/23516972/moneyball-the-big-short-and-the-ultimate-bait-and-switch-john-henry-chaim-bloom-bogaerts-xander
  5. If Devers doesn’t get some protection batting behind him, he will suffer now, nobody will pitch to him, he has a big plate anyway so pitchers will make it even bigger
  6. your right this is definitely Blooms team now, no one else to blame.
  7. https://985thesportshub.com/listicle/chaim-bloom-red-sox-purge-core-matt-mccarthy/?itm_source=parsely-api What's in store for us?
  8. I can see that
  9. Not springs, the whole Redsox Bloom thing it just seems to go deeper down the hole every year
  10. No offense, but isn’t that what you all do, almost everything on these boards are in hindsight
  11. I never saw anyone mention it, but I’m not here that much, it seem the longer this goes on the worse it gets,
  12. https://www.si.com/mlb/red-sox/news/ex-red-sox-pitcher-reportedly-signs-lucrative-contract-extension-with-rays here's a trade bloom made that nobody's talking about
  13. I really never expected what’s gone on this winter, I expected Bloom to stay under tax line, but I also expected him to sign a couple longer contracts with plus players to start assembling a core for the team, but nothing but old and injured players. The one substantial contract Yoshida played less than half the games defensively with his old team because he can’t catch, if Casas can hit mlb pitching he could be a good core player if he can’t hit we have Dalbec with a better glove and that don’t cut it, the Sox have been touting Mayer’s as the next coming for everyone’s sake I hope they’re right, with the rule changes there will be a lot more runs scored and not as much emphasis on HR this team with a lot of luck could play over .500 ball but I don’t see a playoff team or anything resembling one. This is a lost year but we should get a pretty good idea how our top prospects will preform
  14. https://www.masslive.com/redsox/2023/01/chaim-bloom-explains-why-red-sox-chose-matt-barnes-to-designate-for-assignement.html Bloom on why Barnes
  15. So what your saying is we are paying more for the players further down the roster than other teams
  16. We were the only team that went over the luxury tax last year and not make the playoffs
  17. I’ve been asking myself how can you spend so much and be so bad, I look at other team’s payroll and see what their spending and what they have in talent and look at what we put on the field and I wonder how are we spending so much, it makes no sense, he doesn’t like to spend, most of our players are on minor league contracts, the Hanley type contracts are gone, there’s what 4 players with sizable contracts but so do other teams, I really don’t understand how we can spend over $200 million and suck when only the Yankees outspend us in the division,
  18. After all the lies that have been told in the last three years by bloom and your going to believe him, I think it obvious whose still sporting a brown nose. What it looks like to me is the Sox will spend over $200 million and claim the cellar 3 out of the last 4 years years, ask yourself how can you spend so much and still suck
  19. Quantity over quality the Red Sox way
  20. Redsox are deferring $75 million of Devers money through 2043
  21. Sox just dfa’d Connor Seabold
  22. I really don’t think anyone thought the 2020 team was similar to the 2018 team
  23. Who’s the GM when it happens. Remember John Ferrell, horrible manager but JH loved him, when he was finally let go he couldn’t get another managers job not even a bench coach, the league is watching Bloom, when Henry’s done with him, job offers I believe will be very slow coming
  24. I heard that too but it really makes no sense as a reason for surgery when you have put it off for a couple years already and you’ve been playing with that pain, discomfort when starting to throw shouldn’t have been a surprise, and why surgery when you need him most and there was no indication of arm problem at end of season
  25. Just a guess but it sounds like Story had an understanding with Sox about his arm and playing second and when he was told he was being moved he knew he couldn’t handle it and opted for the surgery
