  1. Boston's second single of the game!
  2. Tie game in the last inning between two of the worst teams in the big leagues this week.
  3. Robles won't give up a grand slam because he'll bounce in the tying run first.
  4. Way to come up big, Otto, and bail out your teammate who couldn't see that fly ball.
  5. Put him on and pitch to the best hitter in baseball with the bases loaded.
  6. Kike leads our team in single today.
  7. We love our pinch-whiffers for the pitchers in NL parks.
  8. Don't the Nats know in a Red Sox game they're supposed to pop up with men on base? I'm freaklng exhausted, and still two more innings of relief pitchers to watch. Who? Ottavino for one, and... Davis? Surely not Robles again. Or Barnes?
  9. Bell is seeing too many 95s
  10. Yes! Huge catch with Soto coming up.
  11. Let's hope Braiser doesn't throw too hard today so his arm doesn't fall off.
  12. Hattrick for JD. Sox whiffers have just matched Nats for Ks, in a game that matters a little more for the visitors.
  13. Cora is not "chasing wins." Tomorrow is the real must-win -- to get to at least Monday. He's saving Sale and Whitlock for a Sunday W.
  14. My nerves are scathed, but we're still ahead. Rattling around in my head is Joe Castig's whiny voice: Can YOU believe it?
  15. Arroyo strikes out batting for Houck, after 53 unhittable pitches. I'm so f***ing disgusted right now. Who the hell is going to get 12 more outs on the mound before Washington outscores Boston.
  16. Eck just said, "You almost have to leave him in." I almost spit my beer. Houck is perfect through five with eight Ks. Even when Houck is wild, he's unhittable. Better than anyone else in the bullpen. WTF Kevin Cash, Blake Snell and anyone who used to work for Tampa.
  17. Five innings, ZERO singles for the Red Sox' AWFence. Can ERod pinch-hit for someone and pop up a bunt?
  18. Just as long as Hans Solo outhomers Juan Soto.
  19. Before the game I told my son today it's Devers; he is so overdue. And then in the first inning I cursed him with every English word I could blurt (I may have invoked some deities, because even my foul-mouthed wife told me to chill because "we need him"). Now we just need Rafie to go all Brandon Lowe on the Nats.
  20. I'm watching: one off the high wall and one high over it!!!!
  21. MLB.com lists Houck as today's starter. The Sox' season may ride on which 4 or 5 relievers will pitch the final 5 innings...
  22. If that's the problem, don't use him anymore. With the new three-batter rule, Richards can't even be trusted to just unintentionally intentionally walk Juan Soto.
  23. Fans don't know, and the club surely won't tell us, so the reason is conjecture. Dealing with an undisclosed injury or malady (they all have them at this point in the year) is more plausible than crumbling under pressure, though the first can understandably lead to the second.
  24. No, but the reason he was brutal this past week vs. NY and O's is why fans can't trust him when he pitches today. And he will. So will Perez, at some point... and Davis. Who am I missing -- Buzardo? We can only hope any injury preventing Richards from throwing strikes is healing... unless it's nerves. Either way, it's on the training staff to issue meds to mask both (can the fans get some, too?).
  25. Robles is dancing because got the save; he saved his job by not giving up the lead.
