  1. Just be thankful that you don’t have to listen to the YES broadcast... Good God. The biggest babbling homers this side of Hawk Harrelson. But at least Hawk doesn’t make mistakes every game.
  2. The Red Sox need the long ball... apparently tagging the ball well is an automatic out tonight.. it’s official, we’re struggling vS KC.
  3. Oh they sure did. CAN YOU BLAME THEM? Lol. Two hard hit baseballs find outs this inning.. I dunno if we’re snake bitten or what.
  4. I get the feeling that Dave & Jerry are really itching to let this team have it. It’s hard not to with starts like this vs the flippin’ Royals.
  5. Devers is money at third. Beautiful.
  6. we just fell behind KC.. yikes.
  7. Good evening gentleman. Looks like I haven’t missed much so far.
  8. How about this team stringing together 5 or 6 wins in a row, dare I say. GO SOX!
  9. The two 300 million boys that were signed last off season aren’t producing as well as San Diego and Philly had hoped. Bryce is driving in some runs but his BA is south of .250 Machado is not lighting the world on fire either. Still good players but 300 million contracts? Gimme a break. I’m not worried about Betts too much. I’d be shocked if he doesn’t show improvement this month.. especially with the softer schedule.
  10. I can see this team going on an absolute furious tear and on the other hand, I can see them doing what they have done vs Cleveland, which is basically choking away the season. June definitely needs to be a few steps in the right direction. 16-9 is not too much to ask when you factor in the opponents. The SOX need an 8-10 game winning streak somewhere in June-July. Dunno if that is realistic for this years club but man would it make things easier for the stretch run. Any word on Moreland?
  11. Where would the Red Sox be without this kid and his enthusiasm this year.. scary. Good solid contact hitter with some pop. His defense has improved nicely as well. 22 years old. Awesome.
  12. We had to get out of there win a win. Not going to critique Cora there. Although he has left some others ((cough Velasquez, Weber)) in for a few batters too many recently. With what Weber showed us his lat time around, it seems outrageous to trot him out there again. Not even vs Baltimore.
  13. Los Angeles here. Grew up on the East coast though (NY). You're preaching to the choir with MLB's blackout non sense. I use MLB TV but had to resort to a live stream on line yesterday. Welcome aboard.. Join us on the game day threads sometime. GO SOX!
  14. MVP Silver Slugger Gold Glove Batting Title World Series Champion 2018 is a tough act to follow.
  15. Hey guys. In light of the season being two months old, I think that it is fair to start a few assessment type threads the rest of the way for some of our key players. We have critiquing going on in virtually every thread on here but it might be easier to just add a few more player performance type threads so we track and zero in on a player. It’s pretty safe to say that Mookie has been struggling a bit (for him anyway) so far. I am not concerned about the power as much as his batting avg. I’m not expecting .340 every year but the drop has been significant so far. In 225 AB These are Mookie’s numbers. AVG .280 HR 9 RBI 27 OPS .853 He has just come off a miserable 1 for 12 against the Skanks. I saw a terrific stat yesterday from ESPN (how ironic). They stated that Bogey has made good contact with the ball 47% of the time this year as opposed to 42% for all of last year. I wonder why this particular stat is not more widespread, since it is quite telling of how well a player is seeing the ball. Can anyone here find similar stats for Mookie? GO SOX!
  16. Hahaha... yeah I remember that. In the 90s and more recently against the Kings in the finals.. the Kings still found a way though.
  17. Yeah well.. I can only judge by what I see on the field. Plus the Astros have had their share of injuries i.e., Altuve, Correa. Springer has been playing banged up.
  18. The Astros are better than these guys. The Skanks aren’t as good as their record imo.
  19. Yep. Barnes was a dog n pony show in the 8th but he’ll be fine. It was pouring out there in the 8th. Good to win this one, a sweep would have been devastating.
  20. Aroid is a decent commentator.. not bad. Ball game! Good to get this one.
  21. Yap yap yap.. sit down Gardner.
  22. Hahahaha, ain’t that the truth.
  23. Hockey is the most furious, violent and fastest game on the planet. It’s baffling as to why it isn’t more popular in the states. It’s also a sport that is much better in person than it is on television. Come on guys.. let’s finish these clowns and leave them with a bitter taste in their mouths... and with that an error.. lol Jesus.
  24. I don’t even remember him getting a hit. Dude is sleeping.
