    While it's always disappointing to see your enemy celebrate on your home turf, I will take a positive from this. The Yanks have many young players and hopefully this will be ingrained in their minds and make them want to make sure it never happens again. Now I just wonder if the sox had a new banner made in time. Glad we don't put up banners for AL East championships........

    I think ideally the Yanks would like to make sure Happ pitches 2x's vs the sox considering how well he has done against them.

    Has sandy leon pitched enough innings to earn the Cy Young? I don't believe he qualifies for the ERA title........

    It is a tricky situation for the Yanks. As they brought up in last night's beatdown, ideally we would start Tanaka in the WC game and have Sevy and Happ ready to face the sox. While that plan does make some sense to me and Tanaka has been pretty good in the 2nd half as well as a solid play off performer, I always worry about his tendency to let up the HR, especially if that game is in Yankee Stadium.

    I myself don't see a need for harper or machado, especially given the cost and length of the contracts they will demand. I think Britton is a smart pick up due to Chapman's knee issues. The cost on keuchel and morton does matter. In keuchel's case because of his up and down numbers while morton is more due to age as he is 34 right now I believe.

    I would think the Yanks would make an offer on Happ as he has done well during his stint in Pinstripes with the added bonus of doing very well against the sox during his career. I also think keuchel or morton would be of interest to the Yanks, depending on cost.

    Even with price pitching better as of late, I still doubt very much that he opts out. Obviously if jd continues to put up monster numbers, there is a chance he could opt out, but I would think it might depend on what the market for bats is that offseason.

    I'm allowed to have my own opinion as you are too. I like the Yanks chances to get to the ALCS.

    I like Corbin in arizona, I believe he's a FA at the end of this season. Not saying he's a "game changer", but I think he could be a solid pick up. Others would probably come via trade.

    I do feel like we have a 50-50 shot against oakland. They are a good team that has been playing great ball as of late. And of course we can't face both cleveland and houston, but I disagree that we "probably won't face them". I like the Yanks chances vs the sox. And the season record shows it's pretty even ......... And shocker that you are rooting for oakland, you're a sox fan.

    We can also look at it this way: Yanks vs- boston 7-8 houston 5-2 cleveland 5-2 oakland 3-3 overall vs. likely AL playoff teams 20-15 sox vs. - Yanks 8-7 houston 3-4 cleveland 2-2 oakland 2-4 overall vs. likely AL playoff teams 15-17

    Yeah, I wanted to sign him instead of trading for Stanton. We would have been on the hook for less years with about the same yearly cost.

    If the Yankees win the championship this year, what do you think the sox would do?

    I just hope they put their money and trade efforts into starting pitching. I certainly don't want big money invested in machado or harper.
