  1. 8 run rally starting ??? Oh no, Renfroe up with JDM on first. If he DPs again....Sometimes they give you layups, gotta take them when you can
  2. When did Kike's million dollar motorcoach turn into a pumpkin ??
  3. I have seen us score 8 in an inning this year, maybe twice.
  4. f***ing 2 out hitting , cannot close out 2 strikes
  5. Astros going oppo, hitting it where it's pitched. Did Alvarez's 3 hits (and rbi's) all come on first pitches ??
  6. And that's just the Red Sox bats
  7. 2-0 count DP grounder ??? Go hunt somewhere else dogass. Cora should have made him leave his bat in the dugout
  8. It's been said by others but this whole season has featured blow out wins followed by inexplicable shut downs on offense. Very inconsistent. Sale needs another shutdown , so we can get to the top of the lineup again down just one
  9. Change speeds like that and no hitter will get settled in . Always guessing wrong or taking .
  10. Three innings today of continued no run offense, following the 8 inning drought last night. Lots of ground balls, and taking strikes
  11. How sunny is it at 5PM in Boston in mid-October ? Probably just enough to blind Renfroe in RF on a routine flyball in the first inning
  12. BTW, the game is at 5:08 EDT, not 4 Pm as mentioned in some late posts on yesterday's worn out thread.
  13. I will prognosticate that Sale will not be the deciding factor in today's game, unless he completely blows it giving up 5 in a couple innings. The Red Sox bullpen will be called on for 5 or 6 innings and will need a top performance. The hitters will need to review the tapes of games 2 and 3 to remind themselves how situational hitting and plate discipline will be effective. There is no momentum in baseball because each pitch and AB is an independent event. What does is exist is preparation and confidence that a hitter can react well to hittable pitches, not chasing high FB's and low breaking trash. I think Bogey's 1st inning HR told the guys they had another easy night coming and they lost all incentive to work Houston pitching. Oh yeah, and 2 Grannies won't hurt. the cause. So don't sweat the good Sale or bad Sale. He could blow it up, but he can't win it alone.
  14. Wrong again, looks more like 7-2 I meant 9-2, silly me . Laz Diaz, you were warned
  15. Check the first page of this whole game thread where I mentioned Laz Diaz and his worthless calls
  16. Regrettably you are correct, but still many of them at MLB level become multimillionaires despite their ignorance
  17. Nice DP Whitlock and infield. But the troubles have now started. On the other hand we have 6 outs through the 9th , and Astros only 3
  18. This one feels more like a 6-2 finish. Altuve is a notorius first pitch fastball swinger. Not sure if it was the pitch or the call by Vaz or both
  19. Wish I had DVR'ed this game so I could fast Forward and see how it turned out
  20. 6 very tough outs to hold a 2-1 win. But that's doable , so go get it Red Sox
  21. Odd coicidence that the Yankems, Rays and Astros all score very similarly in those categories. Red Sox have won more postseason games this year than any of them
  22. Wow, Schwarber stole that one. Good thing he was holding the runner. That was a troublesome shototherwise
  23. Checked with Baseball Abstract and in fact the Astro hitters are virtually blind (20/200), stupid ( Ave IQ 69) and worthless to boot. No BTR values at all
