  1. The key to this team's climb towards playoff qualification will rest on winning series and avoiding sweeps, especially at Fenway vs NL teams. Bello can solidify his role as a key in this rotation. We need to see more of Paxton pitching like he did in his first start , but Bello, Sale and Paxton could be the reason we don't go on extended losing streaks. No question Bloom needs to be thinking hard about how to strengthen the BP mid-level. I think 3 Inning Houck needs to be there. His ability as a starter is questionable unless it is a piggyback effort, but with who---Kluber ? Crawford needs to get back into the mix as well.
  2. Garza filling up the zone, like a pro pitcher.
  3. The 9th is now a made for Brasier moment. But he's not here for it.
  4. Get Dugo home , for Nick P. Yoshi does the deed. Glad to see other Pitchers/Catchers mess up. Now up by 2 Duran is a better hitter than Devers and proves it
  5. Nick predictably fires up a blinding K preserving the game for the BP with no chance to lose the game but he could win it !!
  6. Watch what happens with 2 outs and man on 3rd in a tie game.
  7. 2 out walk, 2 strike pitches, 2 runs , 5 straight hits. Just interesting how they can blow up like a cheap balloon, pushing the BP into extremis once again.
  8. Laz Diaz behind the plate , further proof that performance and ability is irrelevant to objective outcomes.
  9. Nick Pivetta is a brilliant pitcher with a wicked 2 out, 2 strike K pitch. Just a little hook biting into the strike zone. This game is over
  10. All of a sudden, everyone can hit like it is the big leagues
  11. Score 2 runs in two days and tell me you thought you might win . Fatse's got some splainin' to do about his boys.
  12. Back to Back 9-1's at home. A rare feat by a listless team.
  13. Bleier throws 18 pitches, gets one out, gives up multiple hits, HR, runs and generally is not competent for MLB level pitching
  14. Shades of early April returning
  15. Dugo has lost his mojo. He needs to find a way back to the All Star caliber play/hitting he featured in April, early May. Getting too anxious and jumping at bad pitches.
  16. It would be a great outcome to see a 6 run inning by Boston take this otherwise weak night and propel it into space.
  17. That may turn out to be a real possibility and Cora, unbeknownst to us was holding him back , maybe some forearm soreness that wasn't clearing itself up ?
  18. Whoever he was, he didn't last long
  19. Who is this new guy Schreiber ? Might have used him in the Cardinal's series.
  20. Devers breaks through and actually makes 2nd safely, plus the RBI. A major turnaround
  21. Cards , like the Mariners, can hit. The Red Sox cannot do so effectively to score a f'ing run. Bernadino is crap as well. Another Bloom junkyard dog.
  22. Houck about to to be tested thoroughly this inning , but once again , Where are the hitters ? Now shoutout for the prior 14 innings at Fenway. No wall ball HRs, not a sac fly, but a few DPs . There are some phonies in that lineup.
  23. Anybody seen enough yet to know that Tanner Houck needs to be assigned as the 2-3 inning relief specialist?
  24. For a clue on Houck's prospects for a strong winning effort, watch the 2nd time through the lineup to see if anything starts popping
  25. A similar outcome is very much needed to recharge the Nation.
