  1. Congrats to Raffy for being a damn good hitter
  2. Congrats to Dalbec for following Fatse's advice and taking 4 balls out of the zone.
  3. And not due to his age or seniority. Story takes too many on the edge pitches too
  4. Dalbec in for his D ? Garcia is a RH, so BD is at a disadvantage, or maybe it's the team.
  5. LOB;LOB:LOB;LOB:LOB:LOB ad infinitum.
  6. True, it's only one win or loss at a time, with no style points. But the actual process both on the field and in the dugout can show leadership or failure to perform. Right now they are failing on all fronts
  7. I would like to see Danish go in and tell Cora to f*** Off for leaving him out there for almost 40 pitches.
  8. If only.... the boys are on their way to 8 under .500, 6 weeks into the season.
  9. 2 possible DPs in the inning. Franchy can't stretch and Raffy gets caught on the hop Followed by the GS when Danish is "stretched" out to save the BP?
  10. I trust that the Astros would reject a trade of Brantley for JBJr and Cordero , maybe throw in the B&B boys too?? OK, LOL
  11. Franchy is in the game because Dalbec couldn't hit. With 2 on and one out, Cordero fouls out behind 3rd. These guys are true AAAA'ers masquerading as MLB hitters
  12. JDM, Bogy and Devers must feel like it is 3 vs 9 in the first 20% of the season . They certainly know there will be some significant payoff, this coming offseason ( are we there yet?) or after 2023. Good for them
  13. Nice blow by JDM.. Had f***wit Cora even just made a mound visit after it was 5-1, now 5-3, maybe he could have helped the situation. Cordero has few excuses for his glove. He didn't ask to be called up and play in lieu of Dalbec
  14. Kike's not far behind Jackie, and thankfully we won't be feeding his kids for the next 10 years
  15. It is reaching the time to call BS on JBJr. Should not have been brough6t back to play regularly and his cost exceeds any reasonable 4th OF'er. Hope the prospects mature someday
  16. The game is still winnable, but only if Kike can get on base. Urquidy may not do much better than Nate . Notice we had 2 warning track balls while Astros cleared the walls.
  17. Tied an all time record
  18. Clearly the problem is Plawecki's pitch calls and framing. Although it is hard to frame a pitch that lands 400' away. Keep watching this may be a true All-Time record for one inning.
  19. Firing nothing but BB's from here on out
  20. Now it is just plain embarrassing to watch. One game win streaks ??? 12 HR's in 41 innings. Not good for the ol' ERA
  21. One HR in an inning ( or game) can be a mistake. 3 in a one out inning is tough to win with. Although Syndergaard gave up 6 runs in his first inning last night.
  22. Nate's nemesis, the HR
  23. You could say that Urquidy is hittable. Now if we had a lead off man with some kind of OBP.....
  24. The abyss of playing at home confronts the Sox. They are a better road team this year (9-12) vs Fenway (4-9) . It may turn around tonight, but it's no longer "early". 21% of the season is burned up. Every man in tonight's lineup has over 110PA's , except Vazquez (79) and Cordero (36) , so the short ST size alibi has faded. 5 of the batters are OPS'ing in the .520-.585 range.
  25. I'll buy them a broom if they ever sweep. Astros coming in tomorrow will make for a challenging series.
