Kutter is only at 62 pitches through 5. If he gets the 6th done with no more than 80, I'd say he will start the 7th and see what happens. The 8th could be a reach, but just focus on getting the one you are pitching to now out.
More importantly, Kutter has not yet qualified for a quality start . He needs to get 3 more outs and not give up more than 3 runs. I'd say he has a great chance to get it done
As noted multiple times earlier in the season, when the bottom 4 contribute to the offense, this team can win a lot of 8-9 run games , even with average pitching.
Devers makes a brilliant play and throw from his knees to support a good 1st from Crawford. Where is this same guy at other times. I think he wanders mentally , but all who wander are not necessarily lost
It looked like a good pitch inside, low corner of zone ( if I saw it right) . Barley cleared the short Rf porch. Not good in a close game , but ok here. BUT, Whitless cannot come back for the 9th
Stanton is a contractual albatross around the Yankees neck for those 4 years. A low .724 OPS and only 45 rbi's to date. Also much injury prone. Casas is a far better asset in all respects.
