  1. A plethora of teams and a scarcity of pitchers.
  2. Lead off batter. Similar to calling a thrower a pitcher.
  3. Barnes & Ottavino. Sounds like a law firm.
  4. Based on the law of averages, the SOX farm is way overdue to provide the parent team a decent starter. Not entirely sure this is a real law.
  5. Seeing as how my reign of terror ended last night, someone has to start a new game thread.
  6. Speaking of Santana, he was introduced this morning to the 1st and 3rd base coaches, who had no idea who Santana was.
  7. Your use of the word 'calvary' made me think how ironic it would be if Sale's 1st game back was against the Guardians.
  8. I just checked the internet on Valdez. He was optioned on 6/10 to Worcester. Nothing was mentioned about any injury, but who knows?
  9. This is certainly true. The big 'if' mainly applies to Sale and when he will be able to pitch significant innings.
  10. I think Pivetta is still worth a look.
  11. Moon, I think the starting pitching is going to take more than just a 'little tinkering.' But, no doubt, so far this team has been surprising and better than anyone could have expected back in late March. We'll just ride this magic bus until it runs out of gas.
  12. They're 33-38, so they're definitely not as bad as some other teams in MLB. Heck, they took 2 games from the best road team in baseball.
  13. Rios's slider looked good tonight. I just don't know how long the SOX BP can continue to clean up the mess caused by the starters. Only time will tell.
  14. Not counting Andriese, and we really shouldn't, the SOX BP was very good again.
  15. Actually, Richards pretty much put it out of reach. Andriese, as usual, put the 2nd bullet in the SOX head to make sure they were dead.
  16. The SOX farm system is ranked 25th in MLB. Not sure there's much help down there at this time. That being said, I'd rather see Cordova up here than Santana. Hell, I'd rather have Stevie Wonder up here than Santana.
  17. Over 2 million reasons. A lot more reasons than when they DFA'd Weber.
  18. One thing Andriese and Santana have in common; they're both consistent.
  19. "It's only love and that is all."
  20. My Andriese prediction was spot on. That's very rare.
  21. Max, I definitely agree about Richards cheating, but Santana is not intentionally playing poorly. He just sucks and Cora is the reason he's even in the line-up. I guess Cora just wants Santana to love him also.
