  1. Perez's pitch count after 4 is as low a number as I've seen from a SOX starter in a very, very long time.
  2. Thanks, again. Base running appears not to be an Astro strength.
  3. Great save by Santana after being screened by Dugo. No, this isn't hockey.
  4. Under the heading of good news where one can find it, the SOX won't be facing Cole for the Yankems this weekend.
  5. Good luck with your Little League game tonight. And positioning the catcher behind home plate is an innovative idea:)
  6. I broke into tears reading your post, Tyler.
  7. You know as well as I do that teams during a 162 game schedule go thru offensive slumps. My point was that no way should a player with a OBP of .290 be leading off.
  8. Based on the Astros' starting pitcher's stats, the SOX should have no problem putting up some crooked numbers today. The trouble is scoring runs against anyone lately hasn't been IZZI.
  9. I agree; the problem is that Cora loves Ki'ke.
  10. I expect M. Perez will keep the SOX in tomorrow's game. He, too, has been a pleasant surprise. I, also, expect the SOX to win tomorrow, because it's hard to sweep any team in a 4 game series.
  11. I promise not to sleep thru tomorrow's game, but I can't promise the SOX won't.
  12. I was awake for the first two; that didn't help.
  13. Quality start by Pivetta after shaky 1st inning. He has been a pleasant surprise and my earlier post about him was dead wrong.
  14. First time ever; I slept thru a SOX game. Got to the bottom of the second and then zzzzzz's. When I woke up it was over. Hell, if the SOX offense can sleep thru 3 games, I don't feel too bad about sleeping thru 1.
  15. Again, more proof that a pitcher's W/L is a weak evaluator of a pitcher's talent.
  16. I don't believe Richards, although he did struggle, was weak tonight. However, even if the BP had come thru, SOX would still have lost. Weak hitting and weak defense were definitely on display again. One more thing, 'pounding the strike zone' shouldn't be a foreign language to most of the SOX pitchers. Pitch count from the BP is ridiculous. I'm not including Barnes in that group.
  17. At least the SOX didn't lose any more ground to the Rays tonight.
  18. I'm guessing by the end of the season the Astros will have a better record than us. Considering everything, that the SOX are 10 games above .500 is really amazing.
  19. Maybe Cora will mix up the line-up tomorrow. Maybe I'll be first violinist in the Boston Symphony. The odds are the same.
  20. In defense of Devers' arm, I predict he's gonna become a very good DH.
