    Perez's career stats, to be kind, have not been very good. He's now 30 years old and some pitchers have been known to figure out their game later in their career. Let's hope such is the case for Mr Perez.

    Good point. I would say though that a closer's ERA is an important stat, only because closers usually start an inning.

    Of the SOX 3 best pitchers, only one will face the Yankems this weekend. Btw, Cole gave up 5 earned runs in 5 innings as the Yankems lost 9-2.

    This HP chUMP has been bad for both teams. The ineptness of the many HP chUMPS has pretty much completely erased what used to be known as the strike zone.

    I was referring to their spots in the current rotation. Richards is 3, Pivetta is 4, and Perez is 5.
