  1. Good point. But if you believe pitching wins pennants, which I do, a team has to give up quality to get quality in return. This is, of course, speculative and probably is not going to happen.
  2. "After the labor negotiations the players, like Boegarts, are going to get big money." What the hell are they getting now? $11.00/hr?
  3. Unfortunately a batter can't steal first.
  4. How many more rabbits does Garret have in his hat?
  5. Richards and Yankem stadium. Water and oil.
  6. I'd even accept a #2 starter plus an everyday player who can bat lead-off.
  7. The SOX have to win or tie this in 8 innings. I think most of you's know why.
  8. The ESPN crew is wrong about Dalbec's HR last night. It wasn't the longest by a SOX this year. Cordero hit a 474 foot HR against the Phillies in May with a higher exit velocity.
  9. More than likely the interest would come from an AL team.
  10. His problem has been more arm related than glove related so far this season.
  11. Question for the thread: Would you trade JD for a front-line pitcher?
  12. Of course, it's only frustrating when the SOX are at the plate.
  13. I've yet to see anything nasty from this Yankem pitcher.
  14. The most frustrating thing about watching baseball is when the pitcher makes a bad mistake and pretty much puts the ball on a tee and the batter doesn't square it up. Just like Renfroe failed to do.
  15. Could have been much worse. Btw, I'm guessing many of the SOX come from behind wins are from the 1st inning.
  16. Another potentially come from behind victory. Those damn blind squirrels.
  17. Dugo making more friends at Yankem Park.
  18. Surprised there was never a PED dispenser in the form of A-Roid.
  19. Except I doubt the Dodgers will come to the Yankems' rescue as they did for the SOX.
  20. There comes a time when even blind squirrels find their nuts; let's just hope that doesn't happen tonight.
  21. Btw, last night's come from behind victory was the SOX 20th of the season, which leads all of MLB. IOW, more than half their wins. IOW, based on the above, the SOX have a better chance of winning when they're behind some point in the game.
