  1. The only SOX batter in the line-up who has faced Patino is Kike. He's 0-1.
  2. L.Patino 2-3 4.42ERA vs E-rod 8-6 5.33ERA Kike Duran Bogey Devers JD Plawecki(DH) Renfroe VAZ Cordero Go SOX
  3. The pitching coach is working with the catching coach to teach VAZ not to call the wrong pitches.
  4. Sale should wear a big 'S' on his jersey. While Super Sale recovers from Kryptonite exposure, the fans of a large metropolitan baseball team wait for him to save their baseball team from complete destruction. Look, up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane, no it's Super Sale.
  5. Reclamation projects rarely work; in this case it was a 10 million dollar mistake by Bloom. Maybe someday he'll explain what he saw in Richards' previous two seasons to justify his blunder. Maybe Bloom will respond with "well, I loved his spin rate."
  6. I'm not going to pile on the BP. The simple fact remains if the SOX BP wasn't performing at a high level most of this season, the SOX would have been out of contention a long time ago.
  7. I was watching the Toronto feed with the sound muted, listening to Bob Dylan and Paul Simon. Both are more interesting than Buck Martinez.
  8. Sometimes you just have to tip your cap and realize you're getting beat by a better team. Right now the SOX are the 4th best team in the AL East.
  9. Didn't say launch angle was BS. Just mentioned that fundamentals have taken a back seat.
  10. Damn, if the SOX BP has turned to s***, what do they have left?
  11. When I was growing up in the 60's, there were 16 teams in MLB. You really had to be damn good to reach the big show. It wasn't unusual then for future major league players to spend 3-5 years in triple A. By the time a player was brought up, he knew the mental part of the game. It was very, very rare for a player from that period to learn the game at the major league level. Obviously, things have changed and they are what they are. But, please, don't try to sell me that baseball is better now than it was then.
  12. Learning baseball fundamentals doesn't seem to interest most players as much as learning launch angles.
  13. I seem to remember when JD used to belt hangers for HR's.
  14. Whatever; I watch all the games and I'll trust what I see over what some nerd has computed.
  15. It appears base running is another aspect of baseball that isn't taught very well.
  16. Everyone has the right to their own opinion.
  17. That was actually a pretty good pitch Vlad hammered, but he is a great hitter.
  18. Even though his hitting has gone south, Renfroe remains the best defensive RF in the AL.
  19. Hard to tell if the SOX have come out off their offensive swoon or if the two Jays' pitchers were both completely weaponless today. Hope it's the former. I guess Tuesday night will answer that question.
  20. Nice hit by Duran, but the truth is this Murphy has absolutely nothing.
  21. If Plawecki isn't catching Tuesday night, I'll be extremely pissed.
  22. I hope Richards said thank you to the HP chUMP. Devers has Tourettes of the arm.
  23. I'm not as baseball smart as Cora, but I believe Plawecki should be the #1 catcher.
  24. It appears Bogie's wrist is healed.
