  1. JD is still a less slower runner than A-Gon was.
  2. Texas has won 14 games on the road, so it isn't like they can't win on the road.
  3. The SOX haven't had a come back win in a while.
  4. The Rangers' offense should be put on suicide watch.
  5. Don't you have a Yankem forum you can bore to tears? You're kind of a worm.
  6. Correction: Abreu is now leading in RBI with 92.
  7. Interesting that the 2 leaders in RBI are both slumping at the same time. Vlad, Jr. is 15-70 with 4 RBI in his last 18 games counting today.
  8. I assume you're referring to professional athletes.
  9. You could call it a 'collapse,' but I feel the weaknesses on this team just caught up with them, even though it took about 100 games. There's no doubt this team overachieved for more than half the season, but like clutch hitting, magic and mojo, that's usually not sustainable.* *If for nothing else, this season has introduced me to a word I really like.
  10. Btw, Kike is one tough hombre. After that base running collision, he shook it off and went back to his position. That's old school.
  11. I don't have to. He does it on his own.
  12. But they were better then, but so were we. The SOX just don't do well on those distant road trips.
  13. But your answer was a lot better than the one I gave for the NESN trivia question.
  14. You're late to the party, Ted. Larry Walker was the answer.
  15. The Texas offense is offensive.
  16. The Rays are the cockroaches of baseball. They just keep coming back in the late innings. Is timely hitting sustainable? The Rays seem to think so.
  17. At this point in the season one excuse the SOX can't use is injuries. I don't have the stats, but I'm guessing that of all the contending teams the SOX have had the fewest IL's. Except for Arroyo, who is an injury about to happen, the SOX have been a very healthy team this season.
  18. The Yankems had good starting pitching most of the season and a good BP. You had to figure their offense would eventually come around. Also, their trade deadline pickups didn't hurt either.
  19. If I was a betting person, I'd bet that the White Sox will end up in the WS.
  20. We won't see a good opponent until Aug. 30th.
  21. Well done, Vegas.
  22. I'm really impressed with Shwarber's plate discipline.
  23. The Rangers, like the O's, can help create optimism.
  24. For some reason I always thought Andre Dawson was born in Canada. He was drafted by the Montreal Expos. That's probably why I was confused. Andre was born in Miami, FL.
