    Btw, in regards to Devers' defense, it's more his arm than his glove that gets him into trouble. I see that becoming less of a problem in the future.

    I believe Bogey will be gone by the time Mayer is ready to be brought up. IMHO, Devers is the 'forever' player, not Bogey.

    If JD does opt out(I'm not so sure), then re-signing Schwarber is pretty much a done deal.

    I'm pretty sure Schwarber will be working on playing 1st base during the offseason. Besides his good bat, Schwarber also brings intangibles to the SOX team, so I'm all for re-signing him. Dalbec could be part of a trade package used to aquire a decent pitcher.

    Houck has the demeanor on the mound to handle closing, so I would have no problem if that happens.

    Much of what Bloom does regarding pitching will be dictated on how Sale looks and feels prior to spring training.

    Re-signing Schwarber would be my 1st priority. Picking up some pitching would be my second.

    Extending Devers should be a no-brainer. He's 24 and his best years are ahead of him. Right now he's the best player on the team.

    I would be more pissed if the SOX traded Devers than I was when they traded Betts.
