    No shite. Bogey will get more than 200 mil for 10 years and JH isn't going to give it to him. Simple as that. And I seriously doubt JH will pay Devers the amount of money Devers will want when the time comes.

    The SOX signed Story because they knew Bogey would be gone next season. It wasn't because they thought Story was the better player. If they thought Bogey would agree to a 10 year, 180 million extension, they wouldn't have gone after Story.

    Story's other attribute while playing in Colorado was his base stealing. So far, that hasn't been called upon. I believe he has one stolen base.

    The only center fielder I've seen who was maybe better than JBJ defensively was Paul Blair.

    Very good job by Wacha tonight. Maybe he should be moved up to the #2 starter. He's been better than expected, so far.

    I don't see why Bogey's contract would affect his play. Just the opposite, it'll improve his play because it's a contract year for him. One way or the other Bogey is going to be a very rich man next season.

    I was watching on youtube an interview with a factory owner in France. He was asked why he treated his employees so well with vacation days and a high hourly wage. He answered it's because I can live comfortably on a billion dollars; I don't need 2 billion.

    I agree, but JH wants to be richer than he already is. That's an American tradition.

    If there is an Achille's Heel on the Jays, it may be their BP.

    He'll still be a free agent even if he does accept a trade. Either his new team will offer him an extension he can't refuse, or he'll just put himself up for sale like most players in his situation do. It's all about the money.

    Of course, if the SOX are in contention by the TDL, they won't trade him.

    True, but one way or the other, he won't be with the SOX next season. That being said, I would expect him to approve a trade to a contending team.

    Nice play by Devers. His 'D' has been much improved this season, so far.

    It's a big difference playing in high-pressure Boston than in thin-air Colorado.

    One thing JH knows is no matter what kind of product he presents to the fans next season they will still fill the ballpark.

    If the SOX do trade JD by the TDL, they'll probably have to eat most of his remaining salary.

    He'll most likely be playing SS next year.
