  1. It's still not written in stone what the SOX will get from Sale this season. And if you're comfortable having Houck as a starter with only two good pitches, then fine, let's roll the dice. Personally, I think Bloom should trade for a starter, hopefully one with an ERA under 5.
  2. Regarding pitch count, that was a good half inning for the SOX. Just get this miserable A-hole out of the game ASAP.
  3. Looks like Bloom's priority now is a starting pitcher. Based on E-rod's injury history, he probably won't be back for quite a while. 1st base is no longer the priority.
  4. The more I watch Cole dominate the more important last night's win was.
  5. When a LH pitcher lets LH Penis Head hit the ball that hard, he has nothing working.
  6. Starting next season the Cleveland Guardians will be the Cleveland Guardians.
  7. The 3 players were Clemens, Boggs, and Tom Gordon.
  8. Trivia question I just heard on YES. Name the 3 players who were all-stars for both the SOX and Yankems. My guesses are Lyle, Clemens and Boggs. Anyone have something different?
  9. What I was referring to was that the Yankems with a game this important, Boone should have had Chapman closing(glad he didn't). I'm pretty sure in Billy Martin's time as Yankem manager he would have had Gossage in the 9th, even if it was his 3rd game in a row.
  10. True. But I'm more of a couch potato manager.
  11. C'mon, Moon. You've followed baseball a long time, same as me. The players are pampered more now than they've ever been.
  12. It's tough to manage in this era of baseball. Not only does a manager have to manage, he also has to be a babysitter.
  13. Chapman wasn't available; who else did Boone have? But personally, a game this important, Boone probably should have made Chapman available.
  14. Edit: The good news: The SOX are still in first.
  15. I think most of us ate crow tonight. Goes good with a white wine.
  16. You're a great fan, Moon, but you did kind of 'give up' like the rest of us when the SOX went from 1 run down to two runs down. But you're always here until the end.
  17. Good for Renfroe; he's been colder than the Arctic.
  18. In the words of Michael Kay "brutal loss for the Yankems."
  19. Kriske is pretty frisky with those throws to the plate.
  20. Scored from 2nd w/o any bat contact. Can we put another guy on 2nd?
  21. Sometime I'll mention how much I hate 7 inning games.
