    I believe Pivetta brings intensity to every start. I just hope he has good stuff tonight. 'Calm intensity'? OK, I'll go with that. It does sound like an oxymoron though.

    That makes sense. Then 'command' would be throwing strikes w/o employing the middle of the plate. I guess 'command' would also include throwing inside and making the batter uncomfortable.

    I believe 'command' and/or 'control' is the ability to hit the catcher's target more times than not.

    Robles has been a pleasant surprise, especially considering what he looked like when he first got here.

    Wow! I would have lost on Jeopardy on that one. That may be the most surprising stat I've seen all season.

    There's nothing wrong with SOX baserunning that can't be corrected by just putting a base in between the 3 bases.

    A quality start by EO. iF I had to guess, EO probably has 95% of the QS for the SOX.

    Just as W/L is a misleading stat for starters, ERA is a misleading stat for relievers.

    I wish, but it will take someone a lot better. Unfortunately, the SOX farm isn't exactly loaded.
