  1. Not to be completely Debbie Downer; there are some pretty good bats down on the farm. Pitching-wise? I don't know.
  2. d-money, it's not all on Bloom. He works for JH and JH controls the money. There's a new philosophy in the FO and that is to develop youngsters and no more long term contracts. Story was signed to replace Bogey, who will be gone after this season. The odds are that Devers contract won't be extended either. Get used to more mediocre seasons.
  3. I know it's early in the season, but based on what I've seen, especially starting pitching and believing that JH isn't gonna allow any major moves this season, this is at best a .500 ball club. So it is what it is.
  4. Well, Hill did his job even though he was relieved of it kind of early.
  5. Not that I expect JD to have an overpowering year, at least his presence in the line-up makes that deep dark hole from 6-9 somewhat shallower.
  6. I did notice that Casas went 3-4 yesterday with a HR.
  7. One would expect that a pitcher whose only strength on the mound is experience would have better control.
  8. Good throw by Refsnyder. The SOX are gonna continue to need more good throws from the OF.
  9. It must be taken with a grain of salt the power figures of a player who played his entire career in thin air Colorado.
  10. 2 runs. I just wonder how long it will take to get some more.
  11. No reflection on Hill, but the SOX may need many runs to win. On second thought I guess that is a reflection on Hill. As always, I hope I'm wrong.
  12. I took full credit for yesterday's win, but tonight I have to blame MOON. No particular reason, but I certainly had nothing to with this loss. Sorry, Moon, but I posted earlier that if the SOX lost tonight, I'd throw you under the bus. I know you can handle that. The next time the SOX lose when you've started the game thread, you may throw me under the bus.
  13. Last night Story saved Barnes; tonight he burned Robles.
  14. Another Story-book ending, but not a good one.
  15. Didn't I see that play from a SOX 2nd baseman in the 2018 WS against the Dodgers? The game the SOX lost in extra innings.
  16. I'll take good pitching no matter how and where the SOX acquire it. Especially, when we get so little of it from the SOX draft picks.
  17. That would require a rule change, but I love the idea.
  18. 2 runs on 2 hits defines timely hitting.
  19. If you think Wisler can pitch, you should see his mother.
  20. The memory of that SOX 6 run inning fades as the season continues.
