It has not been determined if surgery is required. W/O surgery he would be out around 6 weeks. With surgery he would miss the entire season. -

Good point. But with the SOX pitching an improved defense is really important. 4 outs in an inning is not a good option.

Hope for the best I guess. One thing's for sure; making this move improves the SOX middle defense immensely.

The only changes caused by inserting Kike in CF would be platooning Turner and Casas at 1st base and making Duvall the DH.

Unfortunately, Bloom paid him 10 mil this season, so I doubt he's not going to play much. Maybe putting Kike back in CF will improve his offense.

SOX to do list: Find a good defensive SS; put Kike back in CF; make Duvall full-time DH; Platoon Turner & Casas at 1st base. There, all fixed.

Finding a good defensive SS shouldn't be difficult, especially if hitting isn't a factor. I have no idea when Mondesi is healthy enough to play, but it will be a while.

Perhaps Kike should pitch and Bra Man should play SS.

Kelly and Ort haven't approached Bra Man in suckiness.

Inserting Bra Man into this high pressure situation wasn't fair by Cora. Perhaps, we won't ever see Bra again.

Hopefully, the BRUINS can beat the Devils tonight with this same lack of drama. Probably not because, unlike the Tigers, the Devils have a very good team.
