    If a batter doesn't run at full speed on a grounder or if an outfielder doesn't hustle going after a base hit, then I'm all for benching him. I haven't see any of the SOX OF's not hustling on defense, but I have seen quite a number of SOX batters not running full out to 1st base. Brain dead plays happen, but there's no excuse for not hustling.

    It wasn't the 1st out and it wasn't the 3rd out. The catcher made a perfect throw. Case closed.

    It's funny in a way. If Devers hadn't attempted going to 3rd on that wild pitch, the same people would be pissing and moaning about that.

    Devers would have died at 2nd base anyway. Good pitching beats good hitting; it also beats bad hitting.

    Mathematically the SOX have the exact number of games left to possibly be at .500 at the ASB.

    Btw, if any one here actually believes the sincerity of the opening thread, well, I still have that bridge to sell. Jacksonian is a troll and always will be a troll; he just employs condescending posts to try and fool you.

    In the case of Story I'd say being the best defensive 2nd baseman in the AL also prevents Story from "being a total disaster."

    I see that the Arroyo is injured again. I definitely wouldn't ship Arroyo thru UPS, even with all the bubble wrap.

    I don't really care one way or the other if Cora stays or leaves, but I would like to live long enough to see V-tek manage the SOX.
