  1. If the SOX can't win when Bello and Paxton start, then they will be in line for a high draft pick next year.
  2. I guess Betts and Bogey weren't happy in Boston. That's why I'm not sad they're gone.
  3. Berrios has improved since he faced the SOX in May and the SOX offense has deteriorated since then. Final score SOX-9, Jays-5.
  4. Interesting info I just gathered watching the Guardians/Cubs game. Cleveland re-signed Jose Ramirez to a 7yr/ 140 million deal beginning next season. He is 30 years old. That was a geat deal for Cleveland considering he is a better hitter and fielder than Devers and is 10 mil/yr less expensive. In fact, that contract arguably makes Ramirez the best bang for the buck in MLB. At his present 14 mll/yr he already is the best bang for the buck.
  5. Completely gone. This is the classic case of 2nd guessing. Similar to criticizing a manager's decision after the fact; something I admit guilty of doing.
  6. You're right. BA isn't everything; Dugo also plays a very good defensive RF. Calling Dugo's 1st 3 years with the SOX 'very average' tells me someone doesn't know the definition of average.
  7. Btw, during Dugo's 3.5 seasons with the SOX his BA is .292. If anyone describes that as an 'average bat,' one can only laugh.
  8. Again I disagree, but Dugo haters have been here since the Betts' trade.
  9. Not sure a player hitting over .300 is an 'average bat.'
  10. Dugo would have value, but I would keep him. I would also retain Paxton, Houck and Pivetta(BP duty only.)
  11. I seriously doubt any MLB team has a worse bunch of RH batters.
  12. At this point Cora should let Casas and Duran stay in the line-up no matter who is pitching for the opposition. They're not gonna improve against lefties unless they face them.
  13. Miami has a fairly young talented team while the SOX have an older less talented team. And there lies the difference.
  14. There's still plenty of games left for the SOX to get a high draft pick next year.
  15. JH has a baseball team that scores as much as his soccer team.
  16. Bello is special; the SOX offense, not so much.
  17. For those who believe the only way things will change is if fans stop going to the games, let me put it this way. If this current team can not empty Fenway, then nothing will.
  18. But at the same time charge fans 'big market' ticket prices. Scam. P.T. Barnum once said there's a sucker born every minute.
  19. Give me hope once, shame on you. Give me hope twice, shame on me.
  20. I think they blow, but we're both correct.
  21. Like I've posted before, there must be buyers for a team to be a seller. P.T. Barnum once said if someone nailed two pieces of wood together, someone else would buy it. Fortunately for the SOX FO this is still true.
  22. It appears the official scorer is using Little League standards to determine hits and errors.
  23. It was ruled a passed ball, so Wink didn't 'throw the ball away.'
  24. Self-destruct. Walks and errors are just as effective as base hits. Cora looked really pissed heading towards the mound. It'll be awhile before 2018 strikes again. I mean a long while.
