Hamilton demonstrates what happens when a ball is hit hard.

    Dominant Smith!

Breslow's talking word salad. Question: "The SOX only have 4 starters." Answer: "We're gonna win as many games as we can."
  4. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
DEVERS DEliVERS! Throwing Devers anything but a fastball is looking for trouble. When will they ever learn? Never, I hope.

Singer vs Bello Duran Hamilton Masa Devers O'Neill Abreu Smith McGuire Rafaela Well, it's Sunday and the SOX are facing a RH. All systems are Go SOX! Note: That s/b a 1:35 start.
  6. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Btw, no one on the SOX is hitting the ball harder than Abreu right now. It took him a while, but he's been banging of late.

Houck and Kutter have been terrific so far this season. Who the hell saw that coming?
  8. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
A lot of MLB pitchers suffer from JLD-Jon Lester Disease.

The White SOX have a starter named Erick Fredde, who might be available for some prospects. He's a 31 year old righty who has a 2.99 ERA and averages around 6 innings per start. He has a two year contract at 15 million. He would cost the SOX a total of around 11 mil for the remainder of this season and 2025. Time for the FO to get serious.

A good thing about the ASB is that the SOX can have Crawford and Houck starting the 1st two games against the Dodgers starting Friday.
  11. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Kudos to the much maligned Dom Smith. Of late, he's been effective offensively and defensively.
  12. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
When Devers stops hitting, he doesn't F around.
  13. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Lugo vs Crawford Duran Hamilton Masa Devers Refsnyder Abreu Smith McGuire Rafaela Masa batting 3rd. I think I like that. Go SOX!
  14. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Based on Fenway's history, I'd argue and say it favors LH batters more.
  15. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Well, at least KC's starter tomorrow, Lugo, is RH.
  16. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Nah, the SOX have a tendency to lose the 1st game of a series.
  17. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Bobby Witt, Jr recently turned 24. I'd have him on my team over any player in MLB.
  18. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Btw, the KC starter is very good. He may have something to do with the SOX offensive impotency.
  19. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Well, I just hope the SOX FO doesn't agree that Criswell pitched well tonight. If they do, they'll just make him the middle of the rotation guy the SOX are missing.
  20. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Criswell is asking himself "what do I have to do to get taken out?"
  21. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Maybe Masa should have stayed at DH tonight. O'Neill is a strike out machine.
  22. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
KC's a team with good starting pitching, an above average offense, and a good defense (they have 24 fewer errors than the SOX). My question is why are they only 8 games above .500? Must be their BP, maybe?
  23. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
He may Cris well, but he doesn't pitch well.
  24. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
A good starter coming from the SOX farm is more rare than finding a pearl in an oyster. Really pathetic.
  25. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
SOX should beat? KC's record is pretty close to the SOX.
