    Just a note on the Rays: If the ultimate success of a baseball season is to win the WS, then the Rays have failed since day one. If building a competitive team year after year to at least achieve an 80% average attendance, then the Rays have failed there also. The attendance situation can be fixed by relocating to a more baseball friendly environment. The WS situation is a bit more complicated.

    I just mentioned how good Kike was as a defensive CF and, of course, it's falls off a cliff.

    The best thing I can say about Devers right now is he had a great April.

    A manager is automatically tossed when he runs out of the dugout to argue a pitch. But it doesn't hurt to get your money's worth. Nobody did it better than Earl Weaver. But he had to turn his cap around before confronting the chUMP.

    Lou Merloni needs to be full-time in the NESN booth. He's heads and shoulders above the other guys.

    As if there wasn't enough to post negatively about this team, it's become apparent we can't even count on the SOX closer to save games anymore. Even finishing .500 may prove a very difficult challenge.

    If the Rays weren't from the shite state of Florida, I'd probably root for them to win the WS.

    Giving credit where credit's due, Kike is probably one of the 3 best defensive CF's in baseball.

    Oh, they also have a very good starting staff and an excellent defense.

    No one in the Rays' line-up stands out, except maybe Franco. They're just a well oiled machine where every player plays within himself.

    I believe the only drama in MLB this season is will Tampa finally win a WS. They're definitely built to do that. Plus, having the best manager in MLB doesn't hurt.

    Kike can definitely play CF. Maybe it will also help improve his offense.
