    Garrett vs Ort Dugo Turner Ref Devers Duvall(DH) Arroyo Kike(CF) Wong Hamilton Tonight's contest marks the last game of the 1st half. Will the SOX finish the first half above or below .500? Stay tuned. The suspense should be unbearable.

    The SOX aren't a bad team, they're a mediocre team at this point. Check the MLB standings and you will see plenty of bad teams. This isn't to say that the SOX can't become a bad team before the season's over. Otoh, they could just be mediocre the rest of the way. Of course, they could also transform into a good team, but the recent history of ownership spending makes that appear highly unlikely.

    The SOX will be 11-16 in interleague play after tonight. The SOX used to be pretty successful vs NL teams. Oh, well.

    Don't know why Fisk hasn't been invited to the booth.

    One thing about Kike, when the opposing pitcher does find Kike's minuscule 'hot spot', Kike doesn't miss.

    The season will probably end up half good and half bad.

    I remember Williams saying once that for a batter to hit .400 it would have to include a ton of walks. In 1941 Ted walked 147 times. Williams never had a 200 hit season. On a side note, in 1949 Ted played in 155 games and had 730 PA's.

    It's pretty obvious this isn't a contract year for Devers.

    During his time with the SOX, I believe Manny had 4 grandmothers who died.

    Some will ask can Whit settle down and give up no more runs? The real question is can the SOX score 3 runs?

    Duvall appears to be getting his groove back, which is important if the BOSOX have any chance at ending the season around .500.

    This is true, but they're definitely not haunting the opposition.

    The BOSOX ex-players(VAZ & Beni) come back to haunt them, while the BOSOX current players are hardly scary at all.

    The only thing I know about the batting helmet is that it came into being after Don Zimmer got beaned and had to have a metal plate put in his head.

    I used to anticipate watching Devers approach the batter's box. Not so much lately. Hopefully, Devers will bring my anticipation back. He's just looked completely lost and, maybe, Bogey was his binky.

    Crawford vs TBD Ref Turner(DH) Devers Duvall Masa Dalbec Arroyo Kike C. Hamilton No question this line-up misses Dugo. Go BOSOX!

    Except for the Rays, O's and Rangers, all other teams over .500 in the AL aren't all that far apart.
