    I'm guessing that Breslow offered the Nats Arias and another top prospect for Abrams. When the Nats turned that down, they agreed on Mead for Early. Breslow had to cover his butt and get some RH power.

    Lindor and his agent have said that Lindor will not play 2nd base.

    Duran, who has taken a lot of criticism offensively, is 2nd on the Sox in RBI with 54, which is 12 behind Contreras. He's managed doing that with only 74 hits. I guess you'd have to file this under 'timely hitting.'

    As the cliche says, you can never have enough pitching. Especially when 2 of your starters are rookies.

    Just checked the TV schedule for upcoming Sox games. The July 30th game at the A's will be on Peacock as will the Aug 2nd game against the Dodgers.

    Starting with the Yankems series, the Sox are 12-2 against AL East teams.

    Since the last Yankems series the Sox are 13-4 at home. They were 9-0 on the road.
