Paez is still young. He could be one of those late developers. Sandy Koufax didn't become excellent until he was close to 30.

Sadly, I don't believe the Sox do the public tryouts anymore.

I've heard of Pablo Sandoval. He was over 280 pounds and played 3rd base. He once popped his belt swinging at a pitch as a member of the Sox Pablo was a fan favorite and a great pickup for the Sox. We can only hope Rutschman turns out as well.
