    Very good start by Kutter tonight. Mets' booth throws the word 'great' around like a frisbee. Half a dozen times in this series they've referred to Devers as a great hitter. IMHO, Devers is a very good hitter. I have a list of whom I consider 'great' hitters, and Devers ain't on it.

    My bad. Foxx's 92 extra base hits is a Red Sox record.

    Right now Duran has 78 extra base hits. Maybe I should have said he has a shot at breaking Foxx's record. He'll need 15 more with only 25 games remaining counting this one.

    Duran has a good shot at breaking Jimmie Foxx's 1938 MLB record of 92 extra base hits. That'll be interesting to keep an eye out for.
