  1. Because Teddy took so many walks, he never had a 200 hit season. That's about as surprising as CCR never having had a #1 single.
  2. He's already back; that's why the SOX sent Criswell down.
  3. Very good start by the inconsistent Bello tonight.
  4. Bonds during an interview said that whether or not he took steroids he still had to hit the ball. He was unaware, I guess, that when he did hit the ball, it went a longer distance. Truly not a likable guy.
  5. Ted Williams, not surprisingly, had a lifetime OPS+ of 191.
  6. It'd be great if Romy Gonzalez could play 1st base.
  7. Is that for a career or single season? If it's for a career, I'd guess Ruth. If it's for a single season, I'd guess Bonds.
  8. Yup.That also explains why RBI are not part of the equation.
  9. A player with an OPS+ of 100 is considered average offensively. A player like Devers with an OPS+ of 155 means he's 55% better than the average offensive player.
  10. I'm getting the Toronto feed and they show each players OPS+ entering the game. Based on the surprisingly high OPS+ on certain players, I can only conclude that the average offensive player in MLB is pretty bad.
  11. Top SOX pitching prospect, Luis Perales, will undergo TJ surgery. He's on the 40 man roster to protect him from rule 5.
  12. More bad news on the SOX front: Top SOX pitching prospect Luis Perales will undergo TJ surgery. He is on the 40 man roster to protect him from Rule 5.
  13. For the remainder of the season I'd prefer he be iron.
  14. I'm just repeating what I read from the WOO site.
  15. I still feel strongly that the SOX need a good defensive SS to help this fine pitching staff. Btw, with Duran, Rafaela, Abreu, and O'Neill the SOX have 4 outstanding defensive OF's. Hamilton is much better defensively at 2nd base. Rafaela needs to play CF. SOX FO go out a get a good defensive SS. That's an order.
  16. You're doing great, Vegas. No need to fix it if it ain't broke.
  17. Nice win tonight. SOX speed plays a factor again.
  18. SOX grooming a switch hitter in WOO to play 1st base. His name is Nick Sogard. He's been hitting a ton lately at Woo. Maybe he will be brought up to replace both Smith and Dalbec.
  19. Looks like the official scorer agreed with me.
  20. I'm not Bobby's PR man, but that was a tough play.
