  1. I'm getting the lame Tampa feed. Is Youk working the NESN booth tonight? The reason I ask is because when Youk is working, I don't mind getting the road feed.
  2. I've noticed a few of the SOX players are practicing their golf swings in the dugout.
  3. Not surprising when two teams play in a mausoleum, both would appear to be dead.
  4. You have to admit for much of this season this team was a SOX teaser.
  5. I hope the Pats win only because I think Aaron Rodgers is a complete moron.
  6. I guess that would be similar to the Giants playing the Commanders.
  7. Very good job by Bello. Similar to Houck in that giving up 1 run will not assure you a win.
  8. There's nothing wrong with this SOX offense that a case of Viagra couldn't fix.
  9. I do congratulate you for saying "Devers is a good hitter." So many, especially those working in announcing booths, describe him as a great hitter, which he isn't.
  10. And one last thing. If Devers really had an 'injured' shoulder(s), do you believe the SOX medical staff would allow him to continue to play?
  11. One more thing, Doc. I've watched Devers swing hard in every game and I've yet to see him flinch. IMHO, Devers is in a terrible slump and this 'injured shoulder' excuse is just BS.
  12. As my parents once told me "don't believe everything you hear."
  13. Fine, then please answer this. If a player is over swinging as hard as usual and throwing the baseball as hard as usual, please describe why you diagnose this player having an 'injured' shoulder(s)?
  14. When the supposedly best hitter on the team is hitting like shite, I believe it affects the whole team.
  15. There were other 'spooky' things involved in that 2004 championship. It shoudn't surprise anyone that Stephen King was involved in that 2004 season, but that's a story for a different time.
  16. Speaking of 'spooky,' I remember seeing a photo taken of Kapler and Damon standing next to each other in the OF right after the Cards made the final out of the 2004 WS. The photo was taken from the back and their uniform numbers read 1918. Btw, Renteria made that final out for the Cards and his uniform number was, of course, 3.
  17. Btw, losing the WS in '67 wasn't the worst thing that happened that season. The worst thing was the beaning of Tony Conigliaro by Jack Hamilton in August. It fractured his left cheekbone, dislocated his jaw and did severe damage to his left retina. He was 23 years old. At that point in Tony's career he was the youngest player in AL history to reach 100 HR's and had the perfect swing for Fenway Park. In the 1965 season he became the youngest player(21) in AL history to lead the AL in HR's(32). That was a real tragedy.
