My take on Devers: A child in a man's body.

Devers is gone. Probably asked to be traded. No one here knows the whole story, so it's all supposition. I've already gotten over the fact that he's gone. Go Sox!

This team is now loaded with hustle. Toro's hustle provided the Sox a 2nd run.

Betts didn't want to play here and Devers is a Diva.

Otoh, if Devers had agreed to play 1st right after the Casas injury, Cora could have had more options to put a better lineup at the plate. Maybe winning more of those one run losses. I guess we'll never know.

Why would the Sox trade their closer now? As long as the FO feels the Sox are contenders Chapman ain't going nowhere.

True. I guess trading Chapman will depend where the Sox are at the TDL.

Why do you want the excellent Chapman traded? That makes no sense.

The money saved by trading Devers will be available to keep Skenes for a long time. IMHO, Skenes is the target and the Sox will offer the Pirates a deal they can't refuse.

The Sox are a young team. Having a pouting Diva in the clubhouse is poison .

IMHO, Devers hasn't been that happy to play in Boston since they let his best friend X-man go. Removing Devers from 3rd was the final straw for Devers. Like Moon posted some of these players the Sox got in return will be part of a large package to get Skenes.
