  1. Seattle scored 9 runs and had 13 hits against the Cubs today. All 13 hits came after there were 2 outs. Included with the 13 hits were 5 HR's.
  2. Webb is pitching today for the Giants so, at least, the light hitting Sox won't have to face him this weekend.
  3. I've never suffered a muscle injury mainly because I have no muscles.
  4. I'm convinced if these players spent less time in the weight room, there'd be less tendon and muscle injuries.
  5. I highly doubt that Joe's 56 straight will ever be broken. Btw, right after his 56 straight was ended he immediately had an 18 game streak.
  6. In 1941 when Williams hit .406, DiMaggio won the MVP award. But here's the kicker. During the same period that DiMaggio hit in 56 straight games, Williams had the higher batting average.
  7. If you go with the premise that Devers wanted out of Boston, all this BS makes more sense.
  8. Unfortunately, the baseball gods were handcuffed when steroids entered the game. They were prevented from taking players like Bonds and Clemens back to reality.
  9. A few weeks ago the baseball gods were notified that Judge was hitting .400. Realizing this wasn't right, they said to each other we have to fix this. And fix it they did. Judge is now hitting around .370 and his average continues to drop like an Acme anvil. Baseball takes a player back to reality faster than any other team sport.
  10. The record for consecutive scoreless innings is 48. The 1906 Philadelphia Athletics and the 1968 Chicago Cubs.
  11. Btw, the Yankems broke their 30 straight innings of scoreless ball and are now trailing the Angels 3-2 going into the bottom of the 8th.
  12. When Bregman finally returns I'm guessing that Mayer plays SS and Story moves to 2nd. If Campbell is still struggling, he will be optioned to Woo.
  13. Actually, everyone who pitched in this series was good except for one.
  14. Only one season of professional ball. I have no idea what the Sox expected.
