Although the SOX didn't draft Miller; he's probably the SOX's most successful effort of developing a pitcher.
  2. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Damn, ok I'm gonna say it. Why can't we get a relief pitcher like Miller?
  3. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Just rechecked Allen's stats. You are right; his offensive numbers are pretty offensive. Apologies to JBJ.
  4. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Has ECK ever seen a pitch he didn't like?
  5. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
    The SOX BP is toast.
  6. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Btw, that pretty much describes SWI, also. Hitting well, leg injury, comes back, stopped hitting.
  7. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Yeah, I don't think it's fair when opposing managers take their starter out when he starts getting hit hard, and our manager leaves his starter in. Not fair.
  8. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Kinsler came to the SOX hitting very well; then he, like so many SOXERS, has a leg injury, comes back, and can't buy a base hit.
  9. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Great catch by Allen. He appears to have JBJ skills in CF, but with a much better bat.
  10. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Don't even think that. If that was a fact as of today, there'd be no reason to watch the rest of this season.
  11. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
With all the rest Sale is getting, maybe he can pitch two games in a row in the ALDS.
  12. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Kluber's the best RH in the AL.
  13. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
And please, no more nonsense that the Yankems are dead.
  14. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Just what the Guardians needed; another good starter. If pitching wins the big games, then, imho, the Guardians are the team to beat to get to the WS.
  15. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
JBJ must lead the league in atom balls.
  16. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
He's out. The ump was behind the behind tag.
  17. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
What the SOX have done this year, and done very well, is beat the bad teams in the league. They've been much more successful at it than any other contending team in the league.
  18. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Eovaldi made a good 1st impression on joining the SOX, which weakens the old saying "always go with your 1st impression."
  19. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Nope, didn't say that. The SOX are a very good team; just not 50 games over .500 good.
  20. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Fact: Cleveland is better than a 20 game over .500 team. Fact: SOX are worse than a 50 game over .500 team. When the Season's over, the SOX will have the better record, but it won't be near as big a margin as it is now.

Hey, Tito, for old time's sake, please take this Bieber kid out of there; this isn't fair.
  22. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Hey, Allen, you can thank Fred Lynn for not getting killed out there.
  23. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Great run saving play by Kinsler. Eovaldi appears to have swing and hit stuff.
  24. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Sale would be one of the all-time great pitchers if the season ended on August 30th.
  25. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Now that Tampa has taught Beeks how to pitch, can we get him back for Eovaldi?
