Hope I'm starting the thread tomorrow.

Off topic: I'd be derelict in my duties if I didn't mention that the Netflix series OZARK has just included the complete season two to their schedule. I was addicted to season one because it had a BREAKING BAD vibe. If you haven't seen OZARK and you did like BREAKING BAD, please check it out.

It's only Sept 1st and the SOX have now won one more game than they had won all of last year. Unbelievable!
  5. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Unlike those other 3 teams you mentioned and the O's and the Jay's, the ChiSox are heading in the right direction.
  6. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Kinsler, btw, was an excellent pick-up. The kind of player you want in the playoffs.

JBJ has gotten some frequent flyer miles tonight.
  8. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Whether Devers returns or not, 3rd base s/b Nunez's until he fails, which he may not.
  9. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
What Brasier is doing based on where the SOX found him doesn't happen too often in this game. Kudos to whomever scouted him.
  10. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Pitcher-phobia throwing to 1st base prevents Beni from enduring a lot of cuss words here. He has stunk lately.
  11. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Do you really want Mr Fragile running anywhere? And that was an inexperienced play by Pearce.
  12. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Pearce may be slower than Leon.
  13. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
    I hope not.
  14. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
It's already the best start the SOX have had in over a week.
  15. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Other than perhaps Price, what pitcher on the SOX is fit?
  16. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
I liked Sale better when he wasn't injured.
  17. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Hopefully, that will get Beni back on track. If the SOX are gonna go all the way this year, everyone's bat has got to be working.

Unlike POM,who, at least, allowed the OF to make great plays on the hard hit balls against him, Thornybird would have required much taller OF's to help him.
  19. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Actually, nice job by the SOX OF. POM allowed the Chicago batters to highlight the SOX OF defense. POM has nothing.
  20. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Having the best defensive OF in baseball prevents the SOX pitching staff from being worse than they already are.
  21. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
I probably should have said Price and Sale and 3 days of hail.
  22. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
I think you're right, but I was adapting it for a 5 man rotation.
  23. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Spahn and Sain and 3 days of rain.
  24. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
As of late the SOX starters have been killing it. The BP, that is.
  25. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
I've said this many times, but it's true. You can't polish s***. Pedro was a great pitcher, not a magician.
