  1. In some cases when a starting everyday player is out for a long stretch, his replacement plays so well that it's a tough call for the manager to take the replacement out of the line-up. Well, Cora won't have that problem when Pedey returns.
  2. I've noticed over the recent years that so many HP umps have a worse strike zone than Leslie Neilson.
  3. I wonder where Denis Leary's been hiding. Usually, he's hanging with Lenny.
  4. No he's not. He's Mr RBI. Just ask Gomes.
  5. Don't bring in Lenny Clark until the SOX have a 12 run lead.
  6. I wonder if VAZ has ever met the 1st base coach?
  7. I agree about Holt playing. Having said that, Nunez will probably hit a HR tonight.
  8. I'll take a check from Sale. The other starters have to pay cash.
  9. F'ing Hanley. I wish I had a dollar for every time I've said that.
  10. Note to Pedey: Please avoid sliding into 1st base.
  11. I believe Pedey would agree to that.
  12. DOB "The A's are better than people think." Splendidsplinter "The SOX are worse than people think."
  13. The problem of having a starter who gives you only 5 innings magnifies the weakness of the SOX BP.
  14. Ken Simpleton of the the Yankems is worse.
  15. I've called Hanley many things, most not so nice, but I've never called him the RBI guy. I guess Gomes doesn't watch that many SOX games.
  16. It would be interesting to know the percentage of E-rod starts where he goes more than 5 innings.
  17. The more I see Nunez, the more I miss Pedey.
  18. I'm old enough to remember when ballplayers made more money winning the WS then they were paid during the regular season.
  19. In that great year 2004 Kevin Brown of the Yankems broke 2 fingers on his non-throwing hand punching a wall.
  20. Andrew! Make sure you touch all the bases.
  21. 12 million dollars for half a season? That's almost as obscene as paying a starting pitcher a million dollars per start.
  22. Why doesn't the league just fine him $12 million and call it even?
  23. Note to Carson Smith: When you have another temper tantrum, please use your non-throwing arm.
  24. You seem surprised. This is pretty normal for the BP killer.
